The Melville Hotel is often praised for its convenient location, being close to shops, the North Pier, and the Winter Gardens. Guests frequently appreciate the cooked breakfast, considering it a good start to the day. While some have found certain rooms to be on the smaller side, particularly the bathroom area, the hotel is generally considered to offer great value for money. The bar area is bigger than expected and decorated for Halloween, and some found the karaoke fun.

a decent stay overall

helpful staff central location tasty breakfast small room tired bathroom faulty tv
the staff was very helpful. from the reception to the breakfast service , everyone was cute. attending an event nearby was easy because of the location , taxis were not needed. i found the breakfast tasty , and there was plenty of it.
the room was small , though i knew this when i booked. the bathroom seemed a bit tired and could have been cleaner. also , the tv did not work , i think they need to check plugs more often.

convenient location friendly staff excellent breakfast small room needed updating limited options
the location was very convenient , close to shops and attractions. the staff was friendly and helpful . the cooked breakfast was excellent , it offered a good start to the day.
the room i stayed in was quite small , especially the bathroom area. i noticed some areas needed updating , mainly in the bathroom. the bar was partially closed due to a leak , limiting evening entertainment options.
